Married couple Luis and Jessi have taught surfing for over 20+ years at their surf school in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.
They spend their summers in New England — where Jessi grew up — and now, they’re opening Long Sands Surf School at The Nevada in York, Maine.

Half Day Surf Lessons
For beginners and beyond — ages five to seniors.
Designed to give you the time, practice, and coaching you need to truly learn how to surf.
Our instructors start by explaining the mechanics of surfing, followed by balance-board practice on dry land.
Finally, once each student has 1:1 time with the instructor, we’ll catch some (small) waves.

Wave Riders Kids Surf CAmp
Become a seasoned wave rider with this week long Monday to Friday surf camp.

Do you take same-day lessons or rentals?
Yes! On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, Long Sands Surf School takes same day bookings for surf lessons and all surf, paddleboard, and beach rentals. We are open open from 8AM to 5PM, Fridays to Sundays.
On weekdays (Mondays to Thursdays), we teach twice daily surf lessons and rentals are available. However, bookings must take place at least one day beforehand. Questions? Let us know!
